Description
This Ganesha Statue (Murti) is made of solid brass with a golden finish, and measures approximately 3 inches.
The son of Shiva and Parvati, Lord Ganesha is the Lord of success and the remover of obstacles and evils. He is also known as the God of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth, and is one of the five prime Hindu deities (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Durga being the other four) glorified as the panchayatana puja.
Lord Ganesha’s head symbolizes the soul and his human body signifies Maya or the earthly illusion of human existence. In his upper right hand Lord Ganesha holds a goad, with which he removes all obstacles, and in his upper left hand a noose with which he captures all difficulties.
