Lord Ganesha is known as the Remover of All Obstacles and usually worshiped before any venture or project. He is also worshiped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom, and wealth.

Ganesha is one of the five prime Hindu deities, along with Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Durga. In his upper right hand Lord Ganesha holds a goad, with which he removes all obstacles, and in his upper left hand a noose with which he captures all difficulties. His vehicle is the mouse Musika, which is depicted here at his feet.
